Prints By Region

No matter where I go in the United States, I can make a case for the region’s natural beauty. Having lived most of my life in Upstate New York, I come by my bias for the Finger Lakes and Adirondack regions naturally.

Still, when I get to travel outside my home region to places like the west coast, Alaska, Florida, Maine and the Southwest, I always marvel at the beauty. At first I’m tempted to espouse a beauty in the surf crashing on the rugged and rocky coastline as the most beautiful I’ve taken in . . . until one of two things happens – either I return to Upstate New York or I discover the tranquil beauty in Florida’s Everglades, North Carolina’s Piedmont, Alaska’s rain forests or fiords or the red rocks of Arizona. I given up trying to compare one with the other and succumbed to the realization that America is truly beautify “sea to shining sea.”
