Alaska Mountains
This view of the mountains just north of Juneau, Alaska was taken from the east trail that skirts Mendenhall Glacier. You can actually see a bit of the glacier at the bottom of the images, just left of center. I liked the repeat patter created by the silhouetted tree line and the two mountains behind it. I think it adds real depth to the image and the contrast created by the trees being in shadow adds some tension. The light, fluffy cloud against the powder blue Alaska sky adds more interest when compared to the rugged mountain faces.
