Lake Ontario at Sunrise

My friend, Ross Shepardson, and I like to make our way to the shores of Lake Ontario at the Sterling Nature Center, not far from Fair Haven State Park, to photography the early morning hours. This time the opportunities seemed slim until, walking along the rubble I came across the pine tree trunk reaching into the lake. A long exposure, along with the pre-dawn sunglow coloring the sky it made for an interesting picture. I like the way the lines of the tree trunk and the shoreline converge. The happenstance of the fishing boat on the horizon was just luck.
